Services for Faculty     


The Career Center has a variety of 55 minute educational classroom presentations that its staff members can provide for the faculty and their students at Northwest Florida State College. Also, instructors can avoid having to cancel class sessions by scheduling one or more of our unique presentations. Topics to be covered include the following:

Resume Writing
This presentation will help students gain insight into the latest trends in resume writing, styles and formats, and accomplishment-driven language both for personal and online resume development.

Interview Strategies
Students will learn how to develop successful job interview strategies to convince a prospective employer that they are the best candidate for the job

Creating a Career Portfolio
"Essential Steps to Creating a Career Portfolio"
The Career Portfolio is becoming a major player in the search for career opportunities in the age of online job application processes. This workshop helps students be ready for that professional online presence. 

MyPlan Career Assessment
Congruence between one's personality and the environment in which one works has the ability to promote a more successful and satisfying career. Students will have an opportunity to find out which careers are similar to their personality, interests, skill sets and values.

Do's and Don'ts Social Media
Students will gain some insight in how to "professionalize" their online presence and tips on making sure they are presenting themselves in the best possible light for employers.
